Located in the heart of Montebello, California, Grant Rea Park is a spacious and pet-friendly destination perfect for local dog owners. The park features dedicated off-leash areas for both small and large dogs, each offering ample space for your pups to run, play, and socialize safely. The large dog area sits conveniently near the parking lot and freeway, while the small dog section boasts more shade thanks to mature trees. Both enclosures are well-maintained with grassy grounds and secure fencing, making this a favorite dog park in Montebello for responsible pet owners.
This dog park stands out for its clean conditions, built-in water fountains for dogs, plenty of benches, and the presence of agility equipment for canine fun. Other highlights include poop bag dispensers, on-site parking, playgrounds for kids, walking trails, and public restrooms. The wide variety of amenities—like nearby picnic shelters, playgrounds, and access to a splash pad—make Grant Rea Park a great option for families looking for a full day out with both their children and pets.
It was clean service was ok. But bring your own hair dryer or iron. But otherwise I’d definitely go again. I was there for 4 days a nice stay

We came to my nieces birthday party at this park and parking was a bit hard to find. There is a baseball field (a game was happening) maybe that’s why parking was hard to find but the park is big. There’s a small water park and a petting zoo. They have several party shelters you can reserve and plenty of space to run around.

Love this park!
I’ve been coming down for years.
I live in Monrovia and when I visit Montebello I always need to stop by Grant Rea.
-Water area/splash pad (little area and lots of fun)
-Barn (love the animals)
Note:The water area/splash pad gets pretty busy. Make sure to go early or later around 4:30-6:30pm ( my favorite time).

Was a nice little place in which to kill a bit of time with the kiddos. I was a little surprised at the size of the zoo, though. We took our time walking, as we had two small boys with us, yet we still finished the entire walk-through in about 45 minutes. The train ride, (obviously) was also quite short. Therefore, in my opinion, that attraction was way overpriced at 6.50/ person. We paid 26.00 for a five minute trip around the same area we’d just walked through. But, the kids truly enjoyed seeing the animals, although they were too scared to actually pet any. Since I had a Groupon for a NULL.50 admission for 4 to the zoo(the train was not included), I’d say that it was definitely worth the price. Probably not worth full price, though. . .
