This place has such a huge energy where I feel so much connected and relaxed, I go to this trail whenever I’m in CA almost everyday and apend 2-4 hours there hiking and intentionally focusing on every nature sound around me. It’s like sending vibes to your soul to purify it from any sort of anxiety, worries or fears which we all have as human being.
I do recommend when you go there to drop off any distraction from outside world like calls, chat with people, music or even being self centered in your own thoughts. Just LISTEN and open up your heart to receive that free energy flows through every rock and sand over there.
Also, I do admire how people are respectful and cheerful, trying to give a space for everyone and share the trail. Keeping it super clean like the universe is our own HOME.
The only concern I have is that much private properties that have been built over the mountains and kept closing a trail after trail for their own use.
That makes me feel like money steals our right to enjoy the nature that God created for EVERYONE not explicitly for wealthy people.
Overall, this is my back- to-self place and of course I raise my hat to all senior Chinese walkers and meditators who add to the good vibes over there 🙂

Located at the top of the Monrovia upper clamshell trail sunset bench offers an amazing view of Monrovia and outlying areas, you can sit on the bench and gaze out at the valley below, the trail itself is a maintained fire road and not very strenuous.
