Recreation Park
Recreation Park is a spacious 22-acre family-friendly park in Monrovia offering plenty of recreational amenities including multiple sports courts (basketball, tennis, volleyball), a large baseball field, and a gated playground for kids with swings and slides. The park features many picnic areas with barbecue grills, ample shaded seating under large trees, walking paths, public restrooms, and a clean, accessible environment, making it ideal for family gatherings, sports, and relaxation with beautiful views of the San Gabriel Mountains.

Recreation Park is a 22 acre land with well kept grass, trees and facilities. It is located on E. Lemon avenue in Monrovia. This park is family oriented and it has so much amenities to offer such as barbecues, picnic tables and shelter, drinking fountains, kids playground, restrooms, baseball field, tennis (4) courts, hardcourt (basketball, roller hockey, and skateboarding), and sand (2) volleyball court. In addition, this park offer a spectacular view of SG mountains. Plenty of parking within the park. Park goers were friendly and respectful. No homeless/sketchy people around the park which is good. Overall, this park is the largest in the city of Monrovia. I highly recommend this park to relax, unwind and play sports.
Monrovia Pony were a great host and quite a good team. I like playing here. The view of the San Gabriel mountains are beautiful. Good luck in your future games.
Playground is okay. Some parts are broken and have not been repaired.
Tennis court and baseball field are nice.
Trees for shade is always great at parks.
Update: October 2,2021. Some idiots dumped soda on the slides. Sticky.
Update: February 2022. Warm winter makes for a nice day at the park. Minor jacket requirement, but once the sun is out. Enjoy.
The fields are perfect to play sports like soccer because there’s so much shade so no suns in your eyes if you have to go to the restroom the park provides you with a clean and organized bathroom for you to pop a squat
A very peaceful park nestled in a neighborhood in Monrovia. There’s a playground with swings and slides that is gated, plenty of large trees throughout this 22 acres park to provide shade for the picnic tables throughout the park with benches and barbecues. Great for family gatherings, birthday parties..several full court basketball courts, Volleyball courts, 4 tennis courts, large baseball field with a back stop, bleachers, score board, 2 gender restrooms, walking paths throughout the park to go for a brisk walk , there’s also a Boys and Girls Club located on the park premises as well as a historic Museum which is open on Sundays and Thursdays from
1 pm to 4 pm .
