Monrovia Canyon Park is a scenic and well-maintained park offering moderate hiking trails, picnic areas, and beautiful natural vistas. The park is open on weekdays without reservation and requires reservations on weekends, with a $5 entrance fee. Facilities include public restrooms, a nature center, and ranger station. Visitors can enjoy wildlife sightings such as bears and deer, and there are plenty of shaded areas along with some sun exposure. Dogs must be leashed at all times, and the park encourages packing out trash. Accessible features and signage are also notable.

What a wonderful hideaway for escaping the rigors of the noisy city below. This is a great little park where one can find solitude, picnic areas, hiking trails, beautiful vistas, wildlife, flowers, and trickling brooks. The park is well-staffed. they have a nature center and a ranger station. there’s plenty of handicap facilities, but the trails and the roads are somewhat steep.

Awesome little spot, moderate hikes. The map that leads to the falls looked way far but it only took 30 min or less and it delivers. Wildlife here is wild saw a pair of black bears on a tree no more than 10 feet from me. Also finally the deer xing were of some use we saw deers and bucks inside a property almost like if it was a pet without a care in the world. Totally reccomend climbing down the dam it was exhilarating watch your step though steep cliff.

Love this place. Been hiking here since I was a kid. Lot has changed since Bobcat fire. Amazingly all the structures were saved! Firefighters 🚒 are AWESOME! The cabin nature center bathrooms all here! Samson’s here also🐻 All saved! Many trees didn’t🙁

Its finally open after the bob cat fire. Monrovia Canyon Park requires reservations on weekends and not needed on weekdays. Keep in mind the Park is close on Tuesday and a NULL dollars fee is required to visit the park. Follow the park rules. Pack in and pack out the trash. Dogs must be on a leash all the times. Due the wildfires, the park lost a lot trees and the recent rainstorm washed off part of the trail. Still the trail is well marked and maintained. The hike is moderate and 50/50 shade and sun.

Monrovia Canyon is open again! First time to the park so I can’t compare, but this park is such a gem. Reservations required for weekend visits, open during the week. No entrance fees. Plenty of bathrooms, signage, and accessibility information. Would highly recommend if you’re in the area. A lovely place to picnic.
