If you’re searching for a scenic, pet-friendly destination in Monongahela, Pennsylvania, the Monongahela Aquatorium is a unique spot that offers beautiful river views, open grassy spaces, and a relaxed atmosphere for you and your canine companion. This riverside park is not only a popular concert and event venue, but also a favorite for dog walkers and pet owners looking for a great place to stroll, picnic, and enjoy the outdoors. Visitors often note the friendly vibe and abundant flowers, making it a pleasant space for both people and pups.
The Monongahela Aquatorium is a dog-friendly gem for those looking for more than just a typical dog park. While it’s not a dedicated off-leash space, dog owners appreciate the walking areas and amenities such as public restrooms and the presence of poop bag dispensers. Picnic spots are plentiful, offering views of boats and local wildlife along the river, with a breeze and lots of sunshine to enjoy. While parking is available, be aware that it can get busy and sometimes congested, especially during events.
As with a bunch of other things in this town people don’t know how to drive and don’t know how to park. I often see people without handicap placards parking in handicapped. Parking across multiple spaces. Even multiple handicap spaces. People off and just pull in here and sit in the middle of the road. Do you have the audacity to honk they will usually get mad. Multiple times in locking my dog have had Karen’s come up and complain about one thing or another. From my girlfriend’s outfit which was perfectly reasonable for public. To the type of dog I have which is a small dog that some people associate with aggression but mine is just a couch potato and completely friendly. To even the fact that I parked my motorcycle in “a car parking spot”.

First time at the Monongahela Aquatorium and thoroughly enjoyed it! Six Gun Sally and the Artimus Pyle Band put on an awesome show. A great venue on a perfect day for a concert by the water. Can’t wait to go back there again next summer!

I went to the Monongahela Aquatorium for the Almost Taylor live tribute to Taylor Swift and had an amazing time! The venue is perfect for concerts and events—great layout, beautiful views, and a fun atmosphere. I’d definitely go back for future shows and events.

This place is so cool!! You can actually pull your car down on the Aquatorium and turn your car around and fish from the back of your car😳 never ever seen that before! *See last pic of the car there** There’s also a floating dock farther out in the water to fish off of!!
If you’re from Washington PA. It’s a super quick, NO turns! Take 136 EAST(behind Walmart, pass the humane society.) LITERALLY take that road all the way to the end. You’ll come to a red light (West Main Street) make the right at the light, and it 5/6 blocks down on your left. (My GPS for some reason wants you to turn off different roads..) DON’T just stay on 136 EAST
There is a young homeless man living in a green tent(he said the police bought it for him so he’d be protected from the weather) That is soooo amazing of the police! He’s a super nice guy named Smokey. He’s harmless and just down on his luck. He won’t bother you or ask for anything, however a lot of people stopped just to give him something. Including myself!
On a side note! DO NOT LET YOUR KIDS OR YOURSELF LEAN ON THE RED METAL BARS PREVENTING YOU FROM FALLING IN.. they are super wobbly and are actually tied with.. get this.. black electrical tape and string, yes string! (See pics) ***MAJOR LAWSUIT FOR THIS PLACE IF SOMEONE FALLS OFF AND DROWNED OR GOT HURT HITTING THE ROCKS BELOW***
And who isn’t looking for free money!
Public bathrooms as well thaaaank GOD! Walk your dog and they have poop bags there!
