Monaca Ballfield and Park: A Dog Owner’s Guide

If you’re searching for a dog park in Monaca, Pennsylvania, Monaca Ballfield and Park offers open spaces and grassy areas perfect for walking, exercise, and enjoying the outdoors with your pet. Located at the site of the old middle school, the park features a ballfield, woods with soft grass, and easy access trails that are great for dog-friendly hiking and exploring. While the area isn’t fully fenced, many local visitors let their dogs run off-leash due to the park’s size and natural boundaries. However, be mindful of sticky seeds in wooded areas and that rain can make parts of the park muddy or wet.

Amenities at Monaca Ballfield and Park include a little league baseball field, portapotty restrooms, and a walking path. The open landscape is well-suited for group outings with friends, family, and their pets, but take note that facilities dedicated specifically to dogs—such as water stations, separate small or large dog sections, or agility equipment—are not present. For those seeking an affordable, relaxed spot for pets and people to stretch their legs in Monaca, this park is a local favorite despite its rustic, unfenced charm.

Ok park bit def needs more park equipment like pickleball or basketball course or deck hockey or even better a skate park. Give these kids something to do or they will find trouble based on boredom

Good place to let my dog run around. Nothing for kids. Cold, wet, and swampy in most places.

Fantastic park. Geocache here, in woods. Let the dogs run around without leashes because it’s so big they can’t run off. Bit wet/muddy due to rain. Soft grass (doesn’t irritate legs). Woods of sticky seed things get in pet fur and on clothes. Ball field here. Portapotty here. Nice path. It’s at the old middle school. Would be a good place for a group of friends or family to walk around, maybe play sports.
