Nice park and historical plaques, but mosquitoes are horrible every time I visit. Need to treat the area!

Quaint, small neighborhood park with lamps and paved walkways off of Dearborn Street. The building directly behind it was once an orphanage that was part of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, as was the park. There is a fountain at the entrance behind the wrought iron gate on Dearborn Street. Very shady & cooled by the large oak trees & birch trees (I could be wrong about the birch trees). Surrounded by older homes decorated beautifully for Mardi Gras season. Saw several people walking dogs in & near the park. Pet waste bags available for messes. Several benches to sit down and enjoy hearing the birds sing.
