Nice for a quick little drive out of town.

I give it 5 stars because it’s my little local hometown place to take my dogs. I urge visitors to drive to Harris Park for a better experience. There are 2 swings, a chalk drawing wall, covered picnic tables, outhouse, historic stairs, each with a name engraved, leading up to a monument and FrisbeeGolf. It is a small park that local kids & dogs like to visit to cool off in the river. There is often a camera monitoring for illegal activities.

I go here for the disc golf course (9 holes). The distances are very short, but most holes are technically difficult due to obstacles or terrain. I really enjoy this course. My only complaint is that the hill where the upper 3 holes are located is not well maintained. The weeds can sometimes be chest high.

I found this place on Google maps and decided to check it out. I hadn’t heard of Marie Dorian until recently and found her story to be amazing. Yet another prominent woman in history that has been overlooked by the mainstream. The park is small but beautiful and a great place for a picnic. There’s a nice stairway that leads to memorial on the hill that’s very cool. Definitely worth the time to check out for yourself.

Very clean pretty little park. First time there and I will go again. It’s kinda out of the way so I had to use GPS. Lol. 😁
