I went for my first time yesterday ..brought my boys and Lil doggie….. very kid friendly.. nature trails ..free .. very small parking lot prolly 10 cars max…. entrance looks like a long gravel drive way. next to the marsh .. the boys and I loved it …very clean ..NO Bathrooms.. its a carry in care out .. no trash cans .. we didn’t see any deers we will be going more often tho great local spot…. but my boys are young ..they enjoyed watching the 🦋 butterflys and learning about bees and dragonflies… the water beach area .. is a great distance .. me and the boys had a very enjoyable lunch/snack break. Id suggest bring a picnic blanket no bench or seating area…we was.chilling watching the water .enjoyingthe moment…very peaceful only hearing nature at its prime .. no car noises ..no play grounds.. but we was already content wit the walk its self.. and the views .. yesterday was cool morning but warmed up throughout the day .. oh and bring bug repellent.. there is lots of bugs .. but to be expected being in the woods … I hope this helps
I saw this place show up on Google maps near the campground I was staying at and decided to go for a run through the park. The entrance does not have any signs and looks like a gravel driveway (see pictures), so it could easily be missed. At the end of the gravel road, there are a few parking spots. There are multiple grass trails that were mowed and well-maintained. The path is less than a mile and a half if you take the farthest outside loop. There is also a small beach area on the far end of the park and a trail that cuts down the middle if you want a shortcut to the beach. I saw a few deer and many rabbits on the trail. There were also a lot of bugs, but it was July and to be expected. This is a great little spot off the beaten path if you are looking for an outdoor activity to do near the bay.

The beach area is pretty murky and they are lots of dead horseshoe crabs, we saw at least 50 in a short stretch of time. Otherwise it is pretty clean and looks like it is visit infrequently. Be sure to wear bug spray, there were swarms of mosquitos and I was thankful for the bug spray.Some shade in the morning and evening.
