The Oconee River Greenway Dog Park is a dog-friendly destination nestled right along the scenic Oconee River, providing pet owners with a welcoming spot in Milledgeville, Georgia. The park is wheelchair accessible and known for being family-friendly, making it a convenient place for both children and pets to enjoy the outdoors together. Visitors appreciate the open space for their dogs to play and socialize off-leash, creating a fun and interactive environment.
While the park allows dogs and is equipped with fencing, some patrons suggest that sections of the fence and the grounds could use a bit of TLC, particularly with pot holes present. Bringing your own water bowl is recommended, as bowls provided may be limited. Despite these minor issues, local dog lovers rave that their pups absolutely enjoy the grassy area. If you’re looking for a dog park in Milledgeville, GA with easy access to pet-friendly trails and plenty of green space, this is a great place to explore!
This dog park needs some upgrading and TLC. There are quite a few areas of fence that are knocked down, pot holes everywhere that can hurt a dog’s foot if running. I will bring some spare water bowls if needed.
My dogs loved it!!
