Surprisingly pleasant experience. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t some super special memorial BUT it is a great place to stretch your legs and those of your furry family members on a well kept wide grass path while scoring a Geocache and learning a little history! There’s even a couple of picnic tables in the shaded area near the parking lot. There’s another covered picnic table at the monument site .5 miles from the parking lot. We really enjoyed the walk and so did our pooch Penny.

This is a nice park to learn about history, and it’s not too long if you want to bring kiddos or pets. However there are a LOT of ticks especially in the fall and summer. I pulled at least 8-10 from each of my pups after taking them there for a walk. Also the parking lot is quite small, so if it is out of space, you’re out of luck.

Wonderful place to visit. The monument is about a half mile walk down a grass path surrounded completely by nature. Bring the kids to learn some history, or take yourself for stroll through fresh air. There is bench along the trail if you get tired and an awning at the end for a nice picnic area.

Neat little find for a small walk. 1/2 mile to monument with a small covered picnic spot. Pretty walk along a stream and the cows will be very interested in the passers by.
