Located close to the Tridge, Midland Dog Park offers a spacious, pet-friendly experience for local and visiting dog owners. As one of Midland’s premier dog parks, it features separate areas for small and large dogs so your pets can roam off-leash in a safe and social environment. Wheelchair-accessible entrances and parking make it easy for everyone to enjoy the park’s amenities.
The park is known for its generous open space, agility obstacles, and its proximity to beautiful pet-friendly trails. While the grounds can become a bit wet after rainfall due to the nearby marsh, the park is maintained with multiple waste stations, poop bags, trash bins, and a dog water fountain just outside the gates. If you’re searching for a welcoming, dog-friendly place in Midland, MI to let your pup run off-leash or socialize, this is a top choice.
It is a fairly large park with separation between small and large dogs. It tends to be on the wetter side due to being right next to a marsh. They do provide dog poop bags and a trash can. There is a dog water fountain outside the park. There are a few obstacles you can run your dog through as well. I only visit it when it’s warm and there’s no rain for a few days. You can walk from the Tridge or take the road off of M20 and pass the golf course. Those are the only ways in.
We love taking out Scottie and mini dachs to the small dog park. The only downside is the dachshund is constantly hunting. She escaped between the fences last time. I feel like this time we spent more time trying to escape proof the parameter that it wasn’t enjoyable. ( For us anyway) . With that said, we will continue to take them because they seem to enjoy it.
If you’re from out of town trying to find parking is horrendous. My maps took me on 20 which is kind of a confusing way. But when you do find it there is nice parking in other areas of the park by the Tridge. Follow the signs.
It’s a nice big, beautiful park. The small dog area is very spacious which isn’t always the case in other dog parks. My girls loved it. Bring water for your pups.
Great dog park! Lots of space and plenty of poo bad dispensers. Went at 8am and had the entire park to myself.
We love taking our dog to play here! There’s not always other dogs there, so I would recommend bringing a toy to throw just in case. But we always have a good time!
