They have flush bathrooms and a shower! Beautiful open space to play and a covered area to take cover from the elements. The Iowa Renaissance festival sets up here every year too.

We had a great time there this year. The booths were really cool during the festival and the food was delicious.

Went to the Renaissance Fair to see my son. He participates at many fairs. Its always great to see him having a good time with his fellow clan members. I’m glad he found something he enjoys, with others who enjoy it too. On another note, my wife got picked to help the firebreather/swordswallower with his routine finale. What a great time!

Spent the day at The Iowa Renaissance Festival.
This was our first visit to this event as we’ve been going to the one in Minnesota for years now.
Nice to find one that’s a bit closer to home. There were alot of vendors selling their wares, some entertaining shows…our favorites were the jousting events. The participants really take a lick while battling it out…getting hit with a lance has got to hurt no matter what. The King and the Pirate King (especially the Pirate King) really get the crowd involved, and the whole cast and crew do too for that matter.
The food choices were a bit different than what we generally run into at a Renaissance Faire ( there was the huge turkey legs!) but there was a good variety (we had gyro and the dirty spuds and the huge lemonade refreshments were appreciated on this warm day.
