Blanche Park is a popular dog-friendly park located in the heart of Miami, Florida. This well-maintained park stands out for its dedicated dog area featuring artificial turf, natural grass patches, and shaded walking paths perfect for pets and their owners. Visitors often praise its peaceful, community-focused atmosphere, with plenty of seating and social, friendly dog owners. The park is fenced for safety, allowing dogs to roam off-leash and enjoy various toys provided—like tennis balls and ropes. Water fountains for both dogs and people, benches, shaded areas, and poop bag dispensers make it an easy, enjoyable outing for all.
One unique aspect of Blanche Park is its welcoming vibe: it’s common for locals to fill kiddie pools for the dogs on hot days, and there’s a small dog wash station available. The park also has a rounded hill in the center that adds variety for playtime. However, parking can be limited, and while the dog area is for all sizes, there is no separation between large and small dogs—owners should supervise pets closely. The park’s nighttime lighting means it’s safe and accessible even in the evening, and the location is close to family amenities like a playground and picnic areas.
Blanche Park is a charming, dog-friendly park with shaded walking paths, tennis courts, and a playground. Peaceful atmosphere, perfect for families and pet owners.

While the park itself is beautiful and the people are ok. This is the second time my dog has been attacked at this park. I don’t understand why owners bring their dogs here if they know that their dogs are reactive or possessive. I also don’t understand why dogs are not separated by size at this park. I would not recommend this park for playful puppies. My guy is a gentle giant and just wants to play and the dogs snap at him. Shame on the owners that bring their dogs here, knowing that they’re not friendly or socialized.

One of Miami’s best dog parks. Well behaved dogs (and owners). A nice little dog wash station. And in summer some folks fill up kiddie pools for the dogs!

Dog owners are mindful and friendly here. The majority are watching over their dogs closely which is ideal. The park is well maintained. A few shaded areas and benches for humans. I love the turf as it keeps my dog from getting all sandy and dirty. However, it is slippery when wet, and for my pup who is a bit unsteady and off balance may be a hazard. I love that they have great lighting at night and that they’re open til late. Parking is very limited.

Several weeks ago when taking my partner’s dog out for some exercise, I decided to bring the lil’ guy here to run off some steam, rather than to the park we usually visit. We liked it here at Blanche Park so much that we’ve returned a few times since.
Blanche Park isn’t large and is split into 2 sections; One part is a fenced in, well-maintained playground for children, and the other section is a dog park for canines of all sizes. IMO, this seems to be a really nice facility overall compared with most other area dog parks. The first thing one notices when approaching is that there’s a basket of tennis balls, knotted ropes and other toys for any dog using this park to share. Upon entering, you see nice packed mulch paths for the humans, and a low artificial grassy turf covering the entire place that looks much like a putting green, though they did leave 1 area in the back corner with a patch of natural grass. There are plenty of benches for the humans, a rounded, elevated hill in the center, and the people who bring their dogs here seem friendly and outgoing for the most part. Blanche park is also outfitted with a water fountain for both the dogs and their humans, and several poop bag dispensers and trash cans.
The only critical comments I’d have are: 1) Since this is a park for dogs of all sizes, some of the larger ones can get a bit aggressive, and in some cases their owners refuse to do the responsible thing and simply take their aggressive animals home or train them properly. 2) I’ve seen a number of people come here and sit on a bench to read or become enthralled with their smart phones, while their dogs simply run free with no supervision on their part. That also means that, when they take a dump, the owner pays no notice and doesn’t pick it up. Did I mention the entire surface of this place is mulch or artificial turf, meaning the poop sits on the top of the surface? 3) One evening when I came here, we were nearly the last to leave before it closed – yet there were only 2 open parking spaces. IMO, if they’ve got a number of parking spaces intended for people coming to this park, they should enforce that. As it is, it seems people living in this area take them for no-cost parking.
