It is clear that a lot of effort went into making this play area many years ago but the playground structures need a large amount of maintenance.
There are a few picnic areas that appeared to be in decent shape. There is river access.
The playground is very spread out.The various playground structures were spread across an area the size of 2 soccer pitches.
Several concrete anchors for merry-go-rounds and slides were fully exposed and numerous structures are pushed at 10-15⁰ angles. There were numerous families using the park even with it in this state of disrepair.
Straightening out the equipment, a few truck loads of sand and topping with a few truck loads of wood chips/ bark mulch and some new bumper tires for the teeter totter would make it feel well loved.

What a fun and pleasant experience at Mexicos family fun festival. The free pony rides and all the free special events set up for the children was refreshing on 4th of July. The guy on stilts juggling & creating animal balloons was fantastic and was super personable too. Congrats to the rec department and everyone else who organized and staffed this event. What a great success! Thank you all!

This is such a nicely landscaped park. They have different toys in separate areas so children wont argue over the same things, they have their own to play. It is also fun for adults, cooking on small grill and enjoying be along side the brook.
