Storey Bark Park is a popular dog park in Meridian, Idaho designed for dogs of all sizes and energy levels. The park features completely fenced-in areas for large, medium, and small dogs, including a separate pen for small breeds—making it a great choice for timid pups or those recovering from negative experiences. With a mixture of gravel, grassy spaces, and an Astroturf area, dogs get plenty of room to run, play fetch, and burn off energy in a safe environment.
This dog-friendly park boasts amenities such as shaded picnic tables, benches, drinking water stations, handy cleaning tools, and tennis balls scattered throughout for extra playtime. There are accessible paved paths, a ring sidewalk for easy walking, puppy pools for cooling off, and plenty of trash and dog waste stations to help keep the park clean. Human visitors also appreciate the on-site restrooms and shade trees, making Storey Bark Park a comfortable destination for both dogs and owners seeking pet-friendly trails and activities in the Meridian, Idaho area.
We had been on the road with our two dogs for 8 hours. The Storey Bark Park was a great place for our dogs to run and play. It was also very clean.
Here is one of our larger dog parks for large and medium dogs and a smaller pen for the small fur babies to play. There were quite a few dogs and their handlers here and everyone seemed to be well minded and getting along well. This is a go to park if you have the active type fur baby’s that need to burn off the excess energy.
They actually have a space for just small dogs, and that made my Oscar so much happier since he was recently attacked by a big dog, so he’s a little freaked out atm to be around them!!!
Our dog, a medium sized 3 year old, did great in each enclosure. Lots of shade for us humans and plenty of room for running around. Extra tennis balls were placed throughout the park and made for extra play. Will be coming back.
Pros- Nicely designed layout. Gravel area with obstacles & drinking water station. Grassy area with tennis balls provided. Ring sidewalk for accessibility and puppy pools. Astroturf area. Water facet & hose. Throughout all areas are picnic tables, rakes with shovels for cleaning up & doody-bags, several trash & dog waste containers, benches, and shade trees. Completely fenced in areas & separation for large & small dogs. Super convenient restrooms for humans too!
Cons- Many flies!!, receptacles need screened tops. Some aggressive dogs at times. Needs more obstacles. It’s impossible to park on race days. Vending machines would be a great addition. Unfortunately, 90% of dog owners let the dogs off leash outside of the enclosed area. 50% of the owners don’t pick up their dog droppings. I’ve seen several people vaping there. A large dog was brought into the small dog side and knocked a woman down. She couldn’t walk nor drive. Meridian needs some police presence and giving out fines to stop the abuse of this beautiful dog park.
