If you’re searching for a welcoming dog park in Mentor, Ohio, the City of Mentor Dog Park on Hopkins Rd offers spacious, grassy fields for pet play and socialization. This pet-friendly spot is known for its two large, well-maintained, fenced-in areas, designed to safely accommodate both small and large breeds. Local dog owners love the open space for pups to run off-leash, as well as the dog-friendly amenities that make visits comfortable and enjoyable.
Both the all-dog and small-dog sides offer small pavilions with picnic benches and additional seating out in the field, giving everyone a place to relax. The park prides itself on accessibility, including wheelchair-friendly entrances and parking. While close to a railroad track, which can make things occasionally noisy, many find this dog park in Mentor ideal for energetic dogs to exercise and play. Whether you’re a local resident or just visiting Lake County with your furry friend, this is a popular stop for dog-friendly fun!
My dog loves it here.
We come here once a week, all the dogs are very friendly.
Too many irresponsible dog owners at this park. Owners that bring their dogs to the park knowing that there’s a good chance their dog will attack another dog. I recommend Canine Meadows in Kirtland. It’s cleaner and much more space for small and large dogs.
Huge two-sided dog park. Well maintained grass instead of wood chips.
Overly wet today, but was still able to kill some time there today. They seemed to like it enough. No other dogs, so that was good
I love taking my dog to this park. It has a humongous field for her to run free. It lacks an agility course, minus one tunnel, but I find those useless. My dog goes to run and play with other dogs. It is the perfect place for that. Each side, small dog and all dogs, has a small pavilion with a picnic bench. Then picnic benches in the field.
The only negative is it is near a rail road track, so it can get loud occasionally.
