Wysong Park & Ralston Playground is a hidden gem nestled in Mendham Township, New Jersey, offering a serene and pet-friendly environment perfect for families and dog owners alike. This park features scenic, shaded hiking trails—perfect for dog-friendly walks or runs—and offers plenty of open space and grassy fields for pets to explore. Whether you’re looking for a place to relax in nature, jog with your furry friend, or let your children enjoy the playground, this park provides a relaxing escape surrounded by natural beauty.
Beyond its peaceful walking trails and lush wooded areas, the park includes a playground, a T-ball field, shaded gazebo, benches, and a greenhouse exhibit. The shaded trails, varied paths (both paved and unpaved), and ample parking make this a favorite among locals seeking tranquil walks or pet-friendly hiking in Mendham Township. While there are portable restrooms and seating areas, dog owners should remember to bring their own water and waste bags.
Mendhamia has no love for this place, having once before resuscitated it from the verge of oblivion, yet it is exceedingly rare to find more than half a dozen kids playing there, despite relatively new props as well as pleasant natural setting.
Payground without kids is just a monument to boredom…
Plenty of swings, has a port o John that is fairly clean, and the best part is the shaded gazebo when it gets hot!
My three year old said five stars. I am an adult and say three. We settled on four stars.
Nice clean park. Good playground equipment for younger kids.
NOTE: there is a small baseball field here, but it’s for T ball. The regular baseball field is in the same complex as the “Ralson Soccer Fields”
Great baby swing to swing together….!
