FAQ for Rocky Woods Reservation in Medfield Massachusetts:
Fun trail with variety, the vista is an absolute must if you visit. You can spot the Gillette stadium from there! One thing that I liked was it was extremely well labeled, no second guessing while finding intersections or knowing where you are.
I will give this a 5 on the basis that I can’t think of any areas for quality improvement right now. It is worth a revisit and I’ve only canvassed it once. It has other loops but the 5k I was on was definitely hard and one of the longer more technical trail loops. I’m not sure if the Life goes on after TBI foot and paw trail race is recurring this year, but that one was memorable and unique. It is more like a dog pilgrimage than just another race. 10/10 would go again, I will be back at some point as part of my rounds.
Absolutely beautiful place with easy to moderate hiking trails that are really well-maintained. My husband and I went for a run here and the majority of the trail was nice and flat and soft. The multiple lakes/ponds scattered throughout made it extra lovely!
Beautiful campground, spacious parking, short walking distance between the main grounds and the check in, a great little lake and tons of scenic views. Thank you to the Coolidge and Rocky Woods Trustees for hosting a great movie night.
If you go on a few of the steeper trails, it could be dangerous if you don’t pay attention. Being in good physical shape, we had no issues. The summit is about 400 feet above sea level. We had a good time.
