This park is a hidden gem in Laurel Grove. We especially love the walking trails here, but there is also a little playground, horse shoe pit, tennis courts, softball fields, a picnic pavilion, and a charcoal grill available for use. Public restrooms (near the pavilion) are open year-round. The playground could really use more shade. 😎 The equipment is newly updated now, but it’s pretty generic. I know my kids will miss the ride-on vehicles.
Nice park with baseball fields, basketball court, tennis/pickle ball courts, soccer fields, playground, trails and public restrooms. I would assume a lot of organized sports are played here but I came for the trail. I went on the three bridges trail. They did a good job with the limited space to include a wooded trail. I would guess a half mile at most and fairly easy to walk. The park is located right off of three notch road so for most of the trail you can still hear the traffic, ball parks and playgrounds while on the trail but still a nice wooded walk and not too secluded if safety is a concern for you. I prefer going farther into the woods for the nature and piece of quiet which you can’t quite get with nearby homes and highway. A nice sized playground if you have young ones and located right behind pizza boils if you want to grab a sandwich or pizza for a little picnic food. There is also the end of the three notch trail at this park which is a paved trail that runs along three notch rd for a much longer walk or bike ride.
Nice biking trail! Lots of shade trees, flat and fun to ride! Watch out for the local cats that like to lay on the bike path and will not move as you approach them. There’s a few places along the trail to eat. At the beginning beside John Baggett park is a pizza shop. And about 7 ot 8 miles into the trail there’s a couple of BBQ shops.
It’s a great area to put in if you have a kayak, the perch fishing is first-rate. It’s quiet and out of the way if you want to just sit by the water just to hear the waves. It’s clean, quiet, and relaxing.
