Disc Golf Course – Almost every hole had a poorly designed feature. Either filled with saplings, too short, lined with nearly 4′ tall weeds, or so narrow that the disc couldn’t turn/fade. Cut 70% of the trees on some of the holes (to make it challenging versus a disc smasher) and brush cut the weeds. Make it a course, or don’t. But this was half-way done.
Very fun 9 hole course. Really hope it eventually becomes full 18, but I’ll take whatever I can get. Nice tee pads, new baskets, and great variety of shot types. Nice dog park too.
Great spot to spend a late morning or early afternoon in nature. Family & I were visiting for vacation and I took some of us to the Disc Golf Course. Enjoyed checking out the art pieces and learning about the history of the area and Meshack Browning. If you’re in the area visiting and looking for something to do outdoors, trails looks great.
As a descendant of Meshach Browning, it was great to see his history made available to others and be able to now walk in areas he and his family did those many years ago. Thanks for having this display and the many walking trails. We thoroughly enjoyed the trails! Thanks again our family really had a fun time!
So much potential at this ‘in progress’ park! As frequent Deep Creek vacationers, we were thrilled to find this spot and are really hoping it gets developed further. Currently there’s a dog park, small pavilion, disc golf course and baseball field. Also some hiking trails, though we weren’t able to check those out. There is a dirt pump track for bikes, though it didn’t look well maintained (muddy in parts, rocky in others). Really hoping it’s still a work in progress – we’ll be back to try it out either way! We tried and enjoyed one quick hole of disc golf. Lots of construction and it was a little tricky to figure out where everything was, but again, so much potential, and lots to check out – we will certainly be back. From the website it looks like there are some big plans for this location – including an inclusive playground. That would be amazing!! A well developed community park with a playground would be such a welcome addition to this area!
