Estell manor park is an absolute beautiful place to walk the trails, play at the park, enjoy family get togethers and to find these little treasures! If you go to pavilion A and by the parking spots closest to the fence of the park there are these little delicious treats called wild or common persimmons! This was my first visit early season so there was not many, and the tree this year doesn’t look like it will produce a lot if fruit but if you know anything about these sweet treats a visit to there is sooo worth it. They rippen on the tree and fall when ready to eat! They must be orange and I mean deep orange and squishy almost rotten, but trust me they are not rotten. Wash them off and pop the crown off and enjoy. But, be sure to mind the seeds they are VERY seedy. Aside from this the trails are a great way to work off your extra energy, you can walk to the nature preserve area where you can see other beautiful trees and flowers, and even go inside the little building there. I love it here and plan to return soon to enjoy a good walk, the sounds of families enjoying nature and to attend a family reunion!!

This is a hidden gem. The playground is the best around hands down. I almost don’t even want to post how good this place is. But people need to know. Perfect for all ages and handicap kids.

Hiking, biking, and walking trails galore. Great family gathering spot, too, with parking, playgrounds, fishing dock, a nature museum, and bathroom facilities.
