Best beach, dog friendly. Clean and shallow long way out. There’s an unspoken code of canine control which most people adhere to (myself included with our boys 🐾). Keep your activities to an even spacing when possible, control your dog’s as you pass other dogs, and most DEFINITELY DON’T allow your dog to include itself in another groups play… Unless invited of course. Responsible dog owners on South Beach are what allow us all to enjoy the privilege. Let’s not mess it up. There’s a people side and a dog friendly side, don’t cross the streams. ✌🏼

Beautiful beach on Lake Superior in Marquette. Climbing equipment and swings for the kiddos are there too.
Bathrooms could use some attention, as they were far from being clean.

Beautiful place to watch a sunrize with someone you love. Sun rises right over the water

We travel full-time and arrived in the evening to let the dog and kiddo run around. We made dinner and went for a walk on the beach. Check out the photos attached. It’s beautiful here.

This is such a great local park. It was windy and we did get a good mix of both sunshine and rain. The beach itself was clean and our dog had so much fun playing with other dogs as they came and went throughout the evening.

We did spend the night here and noticed one truck with a camper shell that spent the night as well. In the morning there was a Sprinter van on the other end that appeared to have arrived sometime during the evening. It’s low-key and very local ♥️ Love this place!
