If you’re searching for a welcoming dog park in Marion, Massachusetts, look no further than Park on Point Rd. This local gem features scenic walking trails, two large open fields including one with soccer nets, and a fenced-in area suited for families with both children and pets. The park is praised for its serene environment, beautiful waterfront views, and quiet space, making it a great destination for easy dog walks, off-leash play (with some limitations), and casual picnics.
Park is especially enjoyable for pet-friendly trails and dog-friendly hiking, with wooden boardwalks and forested loops perfect for leash walks and exploring. While there is a fenced area, reviews mention gaps and a lack of a proper entry gate, so supervision is important. There are play structures for toddlers, fields for running and soccer, and nature trails for both you and your furry friend. Note that parking is limited to nearby neighborhood streets and there are no official lots.

1. As far as I can tell, you can only park on the sidewalk or out in the neighborhood.
2. The dog fence is about 6′ high, though crushed by fallen branches right-rear to 4 or 5 feet sloped so an agile dog could run up and over.
3. Up front there is a 1.5 foot gap between two fences so a dog could easily run out into the road.
4. There is no entry gate; just a 5 or so foot gap, again where a person chasing a ball or a dog could run out into the traffic.
Marion needs to fix these problems, including a gate with a clasp.
The police were actively patrolling the road when I and my dog were there around 5 PM meaning some people do speed through, so watch out.
This is a nice little park. The tennis courts could use some care, but the rest is pretty clean and in good shape. It is fenced in and has some play structures for toddlers. The size is better for young families. Those with older children will need more play space. No parking is available and the major pitfall.
