🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Conveniently located at 1900 The Hill Ave, the Dog Park at Love’s Travel Stops offers travelers and local residents a pet-friendly place to let their dogs stretch, play, and relax. This dog park in Marion, Illinois features two separated, fenced-in areas for large and small dogs, making it easier for pets of different sizes to play safely. Accessibility is a priority at this location, with wheelchair accessible entrances and parking available for all visitors.
The park is designed with travelers in mind, requiring no fob or membership for entry, unlike some other local dog parks. Amenities include benches and tables for owners to sit and supervise, double-gated entry for extra safety, and overflowing waste bins, although visitors should note to bring their own poop bags and water bowls. While the park may get muddy after rain and can sometimes need better upkeep, it remains a convenient stop for those seeking a dog-friendly space right off the highway.
Im so happy to have a place to take out my dogs while traveling. My biggest concern is the gap in fence onone side of dog park.
Marion’s dog park requires fob, but this one does not. This is okay for travelling. It is 2 small runs, with benches and tables but no poo bags. It has a water spicket, but no bowl. It has cigarette butt disposals.
Two sides for large and small dogs, but both sides are trashed. The waste disposal cans are both overflowing and there’s garbage on the ground all around the fence in both sides of the park. Not the absolute worst of the Love’s dog parks, but a dismal place to bring your pup.
We visited here after rain and the large dog area was a mud pit.
Small but very well maintained. 2 sides with separate gates. Poop bags trash. Our dog relaxed then wanted to go.
