Well laid out for dogs of all sizes. You are able to close off areas with a gated fence if the size dogs become a problem.
Also they have fresh running water for the dogs. Shaded area for owners to sit is a plus.
We’re from out of town and took our pups to this park for some play time. It was very nice and the other owners were kind. The dogs played really well. The area is a sand lot so your pups may leave a little sand and if you want to separate your dogs you’ll need to move the gates around but all on all we had a good time and dogs of all sizes got along well.
Running water, clean sand, and covered seating. It is open to the public despite the signs. It also has dividable sections so dogs can be separated.
We came by this park on weekend while driving through to another location. It’s not easy to fine nor is it on the beach. It is tucked away in a residential area next to a fire station. I wonder what’s it’s like if the alarm sounds and there are dogs are in the park? Anyway, it is open to the public, has water, can be easily sectioned off into smaller spaces. Everyone was friendly and the dogs the day we were there were super! Good job Margate.
So glad to see Margate finally has an off-leash dog park again—it’s been a long time coming! The space is great, plenty of room for the dogs to run and play, and it’s just nice seeing the community come together with their pups. Everything looked clean and well-kept, and the vibe was super friendly. Highly recommend if you’re local or just passing through with your dog.
