Nestled in the scenic heart of Marcellus, New York, Marcellus Park is a beloved community destination, perfect for dog owners seeking pet-friendly trails and relaxing outdoor spaces. Known for its peaceful atmosphere, shaded tree-lined paths, and beautifully maintained grounds, the park features paved walking paths, open areas for children and families, and ample green space to enjoy with your furry companion.
The park offers convenient amenities such as multiple playgrounds, clean public restrooms, picnic tables, and abundant parking, making it a welcoming spot for both locals and visitors. Whether you’re taking a leisurely stroll alongside the babbling stream, relaxing in the shade, or letting your dog explore, Marcellus Park provides a tranquil setting for everyone. Please note, while the park is dog-friendly, there is no designated off-leash or fenced dog area mentioned, so standard leash rules likely apply.
Wonderful shade and sunny walkways on tree-lined parhs. Great space for children to play and run. Picnic tables and clean bathrooms.
We rented the Welcome Center for a family gathering to celebrate a Couple’s Shower. The facility was perfect for our group of 30 people! The tables and chairs were set up with enough room for everyone too gather comfortably. The kitchen area was so handy for food prep and easy cleanup! The staff at the town hall and at the park were super friendly and helpful! The park itself is just wonderful! Peaceful and serine!
I highly recommend the park for family gatherings! Thank you Marcellus Park for making our son’s and his fiancée’s special day that much more special!
Great park, just need garbage cans….i came from out of state, was surprised there were no garbage cans to throw you bbq trash in.
I visit for the playground (well, my kid does). The playground is great — it has plenty of things for a kid to do, and there’s nice soft mulch underneath. The babbling stream is pretty and serene, with some benches and a paved walking path that runs alongside it, making it easy for one to take it all in and contemplate the meaning of life or whatever. There’s lots of parking, too.
There’s always something new to explore, I loved being a kid reading comics atop the slide of my favorite playground (there’s multiple ones!) but that slide… That old hot metal slide is still there. I wonder when they’ll update that to something safer. 😂 That one metal slide’s been there for almost 30 years, maybe more…
