Beautiful walk right out to the lighthouse on Lake Michigan. You can walk right up the lighthouse stairs, perfect view of the lake and scenery.

Beautiful place. No water for humans or pets so bring your own. Be careful not everyone follows the leash laws any place in this town. Dogs are to be leashed until they get to the free roaming dog area which is fenced in. Wonderful place to let dogs just run and have fun. But watch for poo that people don’t clean up. There is dog bags provided right at the front of the walk. The few dogs we ran into today we’re leashed, but that’s not always the case.
It’s a nice place to walk your dog, takes a little bit to get to the dog park itself. Its a beautiful walk by the marina and if you time it right in the summer months it’s a great view to see the SS Badger dock and depart. Also a light house you can walk to as well.
The location is nice, but the dog park itself is just a fenced grassy field. It’s about half a kilometer hike out on the pier to get to the park, but the scenery is very nice (surrounded by water. It is a short hike to the lighthouse from here. The hike is well worth it.
