I had my wedding ceremony at Wickham Park, specifically the English Gardens. It was absolutely STUNNING for our ceremony, with the variety of greens and blooming flowers. The space is perfect for a ceremony as it is secluded by tall bushes, has a large open lawn, and a beautiful gazebo. The grounds of the entire park are impeccably maintained.
It was an absolute pleasure working with Wickham Park, specifically Diana as she made the process very easy and was very responsive and helpful with any question. They set up the tent and number of chairs we needed.
We highly recommend the space if you want an outdoor garden ceremony! Our guests LOVED the space and it was absolutely perfect for what we were envisioning for our ceremony!

A huge well maintained and decorated park which is convenient, serene and less crowded with good parking and rest room facilities. There are grounds to play lawn tennis, volleyball and disc golfing. There are big pavilions where you can book and arrange picnics or parties to celebrate anniversaries or birthdays. There is an entry fee of NULL per car on weekends and NULL in weekdays. 7:30 is the park closing time. It’s having an aviary center, few themed flower gardens and a picturesque view of downtown Hartford from hilltop. A beautiful day trip you can plan with your family where the children can also enjoy in designated small children parks and playgrounds inside.

What a beautiful place! The grounds are very well maintained. You can absolutely tell that the staff take pride in their work. Great place to take a peaceful walk, see some smaller wildlife, they have an aviary, a playground for the kids, as well as places to hold events, such as the pavilion and the cabin.
This was a very pleasant place to visit. 😁
Again, kudos to the staff!

love taking my dogs to the park we live a few mins away so we’re here at least 3-4 times a week. they enjoy running around seeing there bird friends

This is a huge park and various gardens available to embrace your senses – Chinese garden, Italian garden, English garden, wetlands et cetra. They have a small taxidermy room with quite a few varieties. I love their Sensory garden. There s a small playground for kids. They also have a small bird-zoo. The peacocks are beautiful. There is also a beautiful wedding spot. It s really pretty. You only pay for parking but it is worth it. Great place for picnics, parties, photo shoots. You ll love your time there. A must-see local spot.
