We arrived late after check-in after hours, and our reservation packet was readily available to us at the front office accessible area. The map was easy to read for even first timers to Manchester KOA like us. The amenities were clean and grounds well taken care of. Heated (seasonally) pool and adults-only hot tub were the absolute chef’s kiss. My family loved the frisbee golf and horseshoes. Other campers were highly respectable about noise/music, which was very quiet to better feel at one with nature. Did run out of TP a couple of times in the AM, which in me and my family’s newly awaken state, was not on our radar. Mistake duly noted for next AMs. We will definitely be back!
We just got home from four days at KOA Manchester and we had an amazing experience! The staff was very friendly and welcoming upon arrival. We rented the two room cabin and it was very clean, and cozy! It was so fun to be able to have a bonfire at night to keep warm. It does get chilly at night but we loved it because it’s hot where we live. My sister and her family had their trailer in a full hook up spot and it was great too! The bathrooms are clean and I noticed staff checking on them throughout the day. It’s a beautiful, quick bike ride to the beach, or there is a walking trail to the beach from the campground. The beach is a bit chilly and I wouldn’t swim in the ocean as it is choppy, and likely has rips currents, but we had so much fun playing in the sand, catching sand crabs in the shore, and just getting our toes wet. It was a 10 min drive to Point Arena light house, and beautiful one hour drive to Fort Bragg. This is definitely a place we would go back to! Thanks KOA Manchester!
Camping with families. Dog friendly. We got a deluxe cabin with access to own shower, tub and toilet. It also included a bunk bed and a full size bed. Great for families of four. We have a BBQ pit and a firewood ring. We went end of June right before the 4th of July. You need to bring a light sweater since it’s cold at night. Need to bring your own toiletries, blankets and pillows. We have access to coin laundry as well. There’s a TV and you can rent a dvd if you got the cabin. This koa included heated pool and access to Manchester beach. It’s about a few miles to the light house as well.
Good spot to camp! Right next to the water and incredibly calm area of Manchester. Staff is friendly and accommodating, including extending our check out time and assistance with navigation. Tent sites along Kinney Road are a bit more noisy with folks coming/leaving, would recommend maybe a further site away from where we were (T6).
Well – it’s clean, great bathroom/shower facilities, lovely campsites. All one might ask for, right? But if you want a quiet and peaceful camping experience- don’t count on management to do anything about campers who stay up drunk until midnight laughing and hollering. Even after complaining to the front desk about the same neighbors playing country music starting at 9am (that can be heard from 8 sites away) that said that they can’t ask them to turn it down. I’ll never stay here again. We’re all paying to be here – stop pandering to rude guests.
