Located in the heart of Madisonville, TN, Houston Park is a vibrant community space perfect for families and pet lovers alike. The park is best known for its newly renovated playground and splash pad, which make it a top pick for those seeking dog-friendly parks with amenities for kids. Visitors appreciate the clean surroundings and accessibility features, including wheelchair-friendly entrances and parking, making it a welcoming destination for all.
Although primarily a neighborhood park with amenities such as picnic tables, baseball fields, and basketball courts, Houston Park is also pet-friendly. While the reviews highlight issues with pets near the splash pad and playground, dog owners will enjoy the open spaces and shaded areas for walks with their furry companions. Please be aware that parking can be limited, especially near the pavilion, and that owners should follow all posted rules to help keep the park clean and enjoyable for everyone.
me and my mom had Good 👍 time with my daughter 😁 today at 4 pm ….. Water swings playground
The splash pad and new playground area are wonderful. The parking is non existent. Extremely small parking at pavilion with one way in and one way out. There is limited parking at public library as well. Rules are not followed. Animals are going to potty all around the splash pad and playground area which makes it unsanitary for the children running around playing. Hence 3 stars.
This was a great park for the area. Brought my nephew to the splash pad for the first time and it was fun. Great location, clean, and lots of play area.
Houston Park is a lovely place for outdoor activities. The splash pad and new playground are a hit with kids, and the park’s clean and well-maintained. It’s a great spot for families to enjoy a day out.
Nice little playground and splash pad. The bathroom is a little walk away, but within eyesight of the splash pad. Our only complaint was the water shuts off every 3 minutes or so. The kids enjoy pushing the button to make it come back on, but they have to push it so often that they spent more time on the playground instead.
