They adopted out a dog to me and lied saying she was spayed. She was not. They also shouldn’t pretend to be animal control considering they do nothing to control loose or aggressive animals.
Editing to add: The employees themselves said the dog was at the shelter for a year and was previously a stray, unless that was a lie too? I was very clear with y’all that whatever dog I went home with was to be spayed as I have an intact dog on my property, and while they are never left alone I still want to be safe. They assured me repeatedly that she is DEFINITELY spayed, and even recounted the day that she was supposedly spayed. Imagine my surprise when the dog goes into heat the next month, and of course they have an excuse ready for everything. I know shelter dogs take work and money, so that’s not my complaint. My complaint is that the people who work here are wildly incompetent.
We recently adopted pooh bear. Staff took the time to let a emotional 11 year old figure out what she wanted. She is very happy to have a dog stay by her side no matter where she goes. Our next goal is to put weight on her. Thank you.

The ladies who work here are so sweet. I had a stray kitten that I couldn’t afford to keep, and I was heartbroken. I cried for a week after I left him. I did call to check on him & they told me he was having a great time playing with the other cats, so that made me feel better. I also knew they would take good care of him until he found his forever home.
Michelle and Billie are the best! You can tell they live the animals and were very welcoming. The dogs are so sweet I wish I could take them all. If you have the room in your life please give one of these guys a forever home💜
