Tyger River Park is a beautiful small green space nestled alongside the river in Lyman, SC, conveniently located near the Middle Tyger Library. While not a traditional dog park with vast dog-specific features, it’s a tranquil spot where pet owners can relax with their canine companions. The park offers shaded areas, picnic tables, and grassy spots perfect for a peaceful lunch, quiet reading, or simply unwinding with your furry friend in a lovely riverside setting. The atmosphere is serene with the sound of rushing water adding a unique charm, though light road noise and occasional odors from a nearby facility may be noticed at times.
This spot is ideal for dog owners seeking calm, shady, outdoor recreation or those looking for a break with their pet after visiting the library. While there are no dog-specific amenities such as separate large and small dog runs, water stations, or agility equipment, the park’s cleanliness, natural beauty, and available seating make it a pleasant destination for a quick outing with your pet.
Just a spot to sit and relax. While pretty there is not much else to do
It is small and beautiful. Would get a better review if there was a trail or something besides a few tables and chairs
Cute small park that is pretty clean. Sand to play in and places to sit and eat lunch at a picnic table. Places to dip your toes if you want and it’s all really shaded and cool. Right next to the Middle Tyger Library, do both!
Wonderful little park sandwiches between the Middle Tyger Library and the river itself. Peaceful and serene, if you can ignore the traffic and the occasional stench of sewage from the treatment facility.
Beautiful place to stop by very tranquil if you go down on the grass towards the picnic tables etc beautiful view from the bridge but road noise can be annoying. Excellent place to come and sit and study, read, draw, or with the sound of the rushing water
