I feel like such a nerd leaving this review, but people have to know: this place has so many birds! I don’t live in the neighborhood but I like to bring my dog here because the birds all gather around the lake and he loves to run around them.(I didn’t give many stars because if you don’t want to share the park with geese you would be out of luck. There isn’t much else to the park.)

Beautiful park to fish with kids and walk around day or night. It does not have a walking path or a playground.

Beautiful views but not very easy access. Not from here so I’m not sure if it’s open to the public

The park is pretty and feels secluded since part of it is surrounded by houses. There’s a nice trail around it that you can walk or run on but it can be uneven in the grassy parts, and the dirt road part can be pretty bad after people drive down them when they’re muddy.

I love this park. One of the things I love best is it is near my home. Of course, there is no playground for kids, but within a block are two such parks. Still, very nice to pass through in the mornings, feed the ducks, and when I want to fly a kite, there is plenty of space on the south end. As I note on my website, BuyLocalLubbock, one of the best things about living in Lubbock is that thousands of families can live on a lake and tens of thousands more live near enough to enjoy one.
