🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Matt Haverkamp Foundation Dog Park is one of the most popular dog parks in Loveland, Ohio, loved by local pet owners for its spacious and welcoming environment. This dog park features a large open area set atop a gentle hill, providing your dogs plenty of room to run, play, and wear themselves out. Dog-friendly and easily accessible, the park is wheelchair accessible and suitable for families, ensuring everyone can join the fun.
While amenities like water fountains and abundant shade are not currently available, the park does offer benches and some basic agility equipment for dogs to enjoy; however, be mindful that play equipment is mostly positioned at the bottom of the hill, which may be less accessible for visitors with mobility challenges. Owners are encouraged to bring their own water and waste bags, as these are not always provided on-site. Despite minor drainage issues after heavy rains, locals appreciate the park’s ample space, friendly dog community, and excellent location for dog owners in the Loveland and greater Cincinnati area.
The dog park is large and has plenty of room for dogs to run and play. The dogs that I encountered were very friendly and played very well with each other.
The constructive feedback that I have is that all of the play equipment for the dogs is located at the bottom of the hill, which isn’t easy for someone to walk down/up who has to use a cane to walk. It would be nice if there were some play equipment closer to the top of the hill or in the smaller fenced in areas.
The same can be said for the few benches that are located in the larger fenced in area. I noticed that parts of the park do not drain well and have standing water/mud days after the last rain.

Really good dog park…Lots of space. No water available (though I heard it is in the works, but don’t know timeline for it) so bring your own. Also no trees/shade.
Really great dog park with a ton of space. Definitely bigger than most I’ve been to! Do wish they had bags nearby, but they do have scoopers.
We love the new dog park. It has a great hill to wear out your fur baby.
Don’t forget to bring water.
