Louisville Community (Dog) Park offers an inviting space for pups and their owners right in the heart of Louisville, Colorado. This well-maintained, fully fenced dog park features three separate areas for large dogs, small dogs, and those who love to swim in the seasonal pond. Set inside Louisville’s main community park, it is easily accessible by car or on foot, with ample parking and a pleasant, pet-friendly environment. The packed dirt surfaces are great for fetch and running and don’t get too muddy after rain or snow melt. The park is noted for being clean and welcoming, where locals enjoy letting dogs socialize and play off-leash.
Amenities include fresh running water for thirsty dogs, nearby public restrooms for owners, a covered bench for shade, picnic tables, and compostable dog waste collection. There is a dedicated swimming pond (summer only) for water-loving pups and separate areas closed off for dogs not interested in swimming. Accessibility is also a highlight with wheelchair-accessible paths and parking. Next to the dog areas, you’ll find plenty of open park space and family-friendly activities, making it a favorite for both Louisville residents and their furry friends. No membership or fees required!
Well maintained Dog Park with 3 separated sections all using packed dirt: large dog, small dog, and swimming pond (summer only). There is fresh running water, nearby bathrooms, a few trees,a covered bench, and compostable dog waste collection. The reclaimed water pond does grow quite a bit of algae when hot and no recent rain to circulate the water. Its in the middle of Louisville’s main park providing parking and other park activities and community.
Great park to let the pup run around, play some fetch, especially during lunch break at work. Chase loves it, will take more lunch breaks here again.
Deducted a star because my dog doesn’t really like this place. He’s a bird dog and likes more space, and this one only holds his interest when there are geese on the pond. Find the dog vibe a little more tense here for some reason. Not sure why. But this place is always open and doesn’t get too muddy after rain or snow melt. And it’s a short walk or drive to Crystal Springs.
I absolutely love this park. I took my two dogs (1yo and 9yo) we went straight to the pond area where dogs could swim in the water. There are three separate park areas for the dogs to play. They enjoyed it so much. The main park next to the pond is closed off for dogs who aren’t interested in the water area. It was great.
Fun little neighborhood dog park. It’s clean and the dogs and people are very nice. My doggo loves to go there.
