Veterans Barrington Park offers a welcoming, spacious dog park in Los Angeles, California, perfect for dog owners looking for a peaceful, pet-friendly space. The park features an enclosed dog run located at the lower end of the parking lot, making it ideal for apartment dwellers and dog walkers to let their dogs exercise and socialize off-leash. The area is surrounded by tree-lined open spaces, providing plenty of grass and opportunities for dogs to run and play. Adjacent baseball and soccer fields, beautiful views, and a serene atmosphere make this a hidden gem among Los Angeles dog parks.
Noteworthy for its community spirit, the dog park remains well-maintained thanks to responsible local pet owners. Although parking is paid (with free parking for veterans and street options nearby), visitors praise the friendly environment and lively energy, especially during busy periods when you’ll find plenty of pups ready to play. While there are no on-site water fountains, visitors should bring their own water for their pets. Restrooms are available at the nearby Barrington Recreation Center during operating hours. The landscaped grounds and pet-friendly environment make this park a top destination for dog lovers in West LA.
This park has been upgraded, there is plenty of grass and multiple baseball fields. I’ve never seen poop there. The locals use it and take great care of it. I seen a herd of dozens of dogs playing and having a great time. Truly the best dog park for running around off leash I’ve ever seen. The views are great and the atmosphere was peaceful. There are rabbits and I once even seen a couple of coyotes from the nearby wetlands. It’s a hidden gem .
