Hollenbeck Park is a scenic and historic green space in Los Angeles, California, known for its large lake, rolling hills, and tranquil atmosphere. While not a dedicated dog park, it offers pet-friendly walking trails and sprawling open lawns popular with locals for jogging, picnicking, and relaxing with their dogs. Visitors can enjoy the abundance of ducks, geese, turtles, and other wildlife that call the lake home, making it a unique and engaging spot for pet lovers.
The park features a playground for kids, picnic tables under the trees, limited shaded areas, and open spaces suitable for on-leash dog walks. Though parking within the park is limited and street parking can be a challenge, the peaceful ambiance and proximity to urban Los Angeles make it a favorite among area residents. Note that the park’s terrain is quite hilly, and bathroom facilities may not be the most modern.
Nice park with a big lake and open space, but it could use more upkeep. Some areas feel a bit neglected, yet it’s still decent spot to relax or take a walk.

Awesome park for some fishing, picnicking or just hanging out under a tree. It’s also cool to see all the wildlife. So many geese, ducks, turtles and other wildlife.
But make note, this whole park is very hilly. An elderly person would have a hard time getting down to the lake area from the parking/street.

This is a great park if you like ducks and geese. I’m sure they would love to be fed. Seen some people fishing here they have a weight area here pretty safe area seems like. Bathrooms were open. Did not see a basketball court yet but there is a skate park here. Just happened to be down here during a transport so I stop by this park to wait and had a great walk. Seems like a decent place to go jogging to.

Loved this park. It’s a great park for kids to play around and it’s a great location for a walk or even a jog. Not to mention all the friendly ducks that love eating rice. I make it a point to always bring rice or bread and feed the ducks with my siblings. Parking is very limited as when I got there, all parking spots were taken in the parking lot, it was a miracle it was even open. Parking in the parking lot only allows you up to 3 hours. Street parking is out of the question as there are never any spaces.
