Lafayette Park is a unique dog-friendly green space located in the heart of Los Angeles, CA, offering spacious grounds and a variety of amenities for local dog owners. With its rolling hills, scenic urban views, and mature trees providing natural shade, this park serves as an urban oasis for those seeking pet-friendly trails and a spot for dog-friendly hiking right in the city.
The park features bathrooms (though not fully plumbed), open grassy areas, and plenty of space for leashed walks with your pup. Visitors appreciate the park’s atmosphere, which blends the cultural energy of the neighborhood with areas to relax and take in the surroundings. While trash and some tents are noted in reviews, Lafayette Park remains a favorite gathering place for local residents and their dogs.

Very chill dog friendly park. Its bigger than it seems too – and there are bathrooms, though not plumbed (saved me from doing something somewhere I’d rather not more than once). Lots of cool trees and rolling hills or what have you to take pictures of.
