I absolutely loved my time on Longboat Key, and it was the perfect family destination. The beach access was incredibly easy, allowing us to spend a lot of our day playing in the sand and swimming in the beautiful gulf waters. It was also a huge plus to have a public playground for the kids to enjoy, and the clean, well-maintained bathrooms made our beach day comfortable and stress-free.
Don’t go to Long Boat. It’s the worst place on earth. The beaches are packed and it’s just awful. Keep LBK low key. ❤️😉
Nice and quiet place. But lots of trash in the garbage bins. Really cannot understand why people always bring so many food, drinks, and other stuff to the beach…. And the government never put a recycle bin there… The bins are always full….
We stopped here on May 6, 2025 for some beach time. Parking lot is small but plenty available when we were there. Easy walk over the sand to get to the water.
The day I went, there were a lot of waves, but the combination of water, sun, and sand was simply wonderful. A quiet place to relax and read a good book.
