Located along Vernon Blvd and nestled beside the iconic 59th Street Bridge, Queensbridge Park offers dog owners in Long Island City, New York, a welcoming green space with stunning views of the Manhattan skyline. The park is widely appreciated for its riverside benches, multiple softball fields, public barbecue areas, and scenic bicycle lanes. Though not exclusively a dog park, it has a reputation for being dog-friendly and is a local favorite for those seeking pet-friendly trails and relaxing walks with their pups along the waterfront.
Queensbridge Park is not just for dogs—it offers plenty for families and sports enthusiasts, featuring baseball and softball fields, a playground, and spaces for fishing. Owners will enjoy the calming atmosphere and the opportunity to take in the magnificent views of the Empire State and Chrysler buildings. While visiting, pet parents and their furry friends can expect a bustling community feel, especially with amenities like benches and picnic areas, and plenty of green space to explore.
Good place to be around, but you always need to be careful. I went because I am a “person of interest” fan. Things are not exactly as they were on the series, but you got the stunning views under the bridge and good sight of Empire State and Chrysler.
Great place for local soccer players and children learning. Several fishing. Dog friendly. Playground looking busy. Obvious Views of Manhattan skyline. Public grills available first come first save. Just go !
Went to Park first time during January. Wasn’t a huge Park but worth visiting. Fantastic view of Manhattan & waters edge is magnificent .
This park COULD be an amazing place for people that like calmness and families with children that value safety. But unfortunately what I saw in this park is: a lot of motorcycle drivers driving crasily inside the park, a lot of people smoking marijuana and also people playing very loud music. How is possible enjoy this park? How is possible somebody with children be safe there?? I don’t understand a lot of good reviews
This park has the potential as it is near the 59th Street Bridge and just across the Roosevelt Island and Manhattan skyline. Con Edison plant is next to it. There are three baseball/softball fields. Benches along the river side. They even have a section for barbecue. Nice bicycle lanes around the park. There are total of four softball fields in this park, not the greatest fields but playable.
