FAQ for Fireside Inn and Saloon in Long Beach Washington:
Let me start with Cynthia. She has been hands down amazing! Very attentive, easy to talk to and fun to talk to. She’s very knowledgeable about the services, the area and fun stuff to do. I have never felt so comfortable with staff in a hotel setting before. She goes above and beyond to make sure the guests have the best experience. The building is beautiful, clean and comfortable and inexpensive and worth every penny. I will absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Long Beach to stay here. I will be back!
Came with low expectations because I’m used to staying in resorts, not hotels, but I was pleasantly surprised. This place is great. It’s a one floor motel so no worries about accessibility. Our room was refurbished and the decor was modern and cool. They had these felt panels on the walls that made it look modern in a good way and the room was huge and spacious. The windows opened so we could get fresh air and they have smart TVs. The room was extremely clean. In the lobby they serve breakfast which is basically a hard boiled egg, Svenhards type pastry, yogurt, cereal, and coffee, so temper your expectations. What’s nice is that at night, when the staff is away, the lobby offers hot drinks like coffee, tea, and they even had microwave popcorn. How cool is that? They have a saloon attached, but we came on a cool weekday so they closed up shop and wasn’t serving food or drinks so that was a let down. Mind you, this hotel is not on the beach, but it’s a short walk away. It’s not fancy, but it’s centrally located and I’m happy to stay here again.
I found this place online and was very surprised how nice it was and quiet. It’s a very small inn with a pub next door. The rooms are nice, bed is comfortable. There is no AC, but a ceiling fan and opening the window helped. The staff were all very nice and friendly. They even provided extra dog towels and a dog bed for the room. Plus dog treats which was very much appreciated. This will be my go-to place when I visit Long Beach.
While I do have two minor personal complaints, I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The staff, the room, the atmosphere, the location, the peacefulness (I stayed on a Wednesday night) the saloon, all of it. What I would change if I could was the bed sheets; too thick, and stiff? Would have been a more comfortable sleep with softer sheets. And, the ceiling fan, it was difficult to operate beyond the low setting. Would I stay again, probably, maybe when it’s a little cooler where I wouldn’t mind those personal issues quite as much. The drive from Astoria to the Inn was very enjoyable. Small, maybe 20 rooms? And so quiet. They literally post a sign on your door indicating quiet hours 10pm – 7am. Love. It. Thank you Fireside Inn!A short drive and you’re on the beach, far enough from the main drag but not too far either.
Rooms were super clean and the beds were comfy. The staff were amazing and VERY pet friendly. I’ve never been to a more pet friendly hotel. Food onsite was super convenient after a long day of travel and not wanting to leave once we got there. Hotel is off the main road into and out of town, so it’s very convenient to get to, but it also wasn’t super noisy and I could sleep with the window open since the rooms don’t have AC. Walls were a little thin and we could hear our neighbor, which is the only complaint we had. 10 out of 10 we will be back next time we are in town.
