There was a big surprise when I walked over and seen all of the tennis courts and basketball courts and entertainment area etc. I’ve been living in Garfield for a while and never knew about this park. I only used to drive over and seen the tennis courts. There were lanternflie catchers over some trees which were cool. It was a relief seeing those instead of people making the decision to cut down trees.

The playground equipment is old and unmaintained, the bathrooms are very dirty, and there’s a bridge in the park that’s in very poor condition and dangerous for children without safety equipment. A child could easily fall into the river because it doesn’t have railings or adequate safety equipment. In short, a park in very poor condition and dangerous for children.
