Lodi lake and the wilderness area are a gem that you should visit when coming to Lodi. It is an easy walk with deer nearby that I have seen nearly every time I have walked the wilderness area. The wilderness area is mostly shaded and the breeze off the river and lake keep the area noticibly cooler than the surrounding area.

The loop starts in a wooded area, and then it goes to wind around to the river, where there are several spots where you can fish. Dogs are not allowed in this area, which I think is very important, since there is wildlife here. During some seasons as you can even see baby dear.

Swim area Opening Day on Memorial Day was FREE entry. Great atmosphere. Canopy of red wood trees near Toddler chlorine splash pool. Lake is supervised by life guards so you can feel comfortable with letting children swim and play freely. Life jackets are provided and recommended. You can bring your own food, water toys. Open Showers in bathroom also near splash pad. Occasionally the geese would swim by.
