A long-time resident of Clinton County. I have been taking my Granddaughter to the trail for about 4 1/2 years now, started when she was almost 2 years old. She adored the TRINKETS along the path and she was always extremely excited to go walk/run around the loop ( good exercise and some fresh air that kids need these days) but this time we were immediately met with 3 different signs that all started off with the word STOP: No trinkets beyond this point, Do NOT touch the blow-ups, Do NOT let your dog pee here. I’m extremely disappointed. The little fairly area was stark and so sad to see. She used to spend so much time in that area re-arranging the trinkets that I’d have to start a count down until it was time to go. Our recent visit began with “Grammy, can we go around 2 times?!! and after entering the trail for about 2 minutes she was already asking where the gnomes were and was more than ready to go after one time around. I also left her hug the dog blow up as she has always done.
Far from welcoming and, although a pretty nature trail, no longer any place my granddaughter wants to return. We’ll start going to the playground and zipline in Waterville. Extremely disappointed, come on!

Very disappointed in the recent change in rules about not placing trinkets on the path. We brought our grand children here from Reading PA to experience the whimsical items along the path and place one or two items of their own. We have many pictures. My husband and I had just as much fun! It was special !!! Someone ruined it for all 🥲

This makes me feel like home at my camping spot back in nj. Its so shadow and cool. Cute little spots to stop off at if you need a rest, which at 30 weeks pregnant i sure took advantage of. The views are so pretty cant wait to come back every week now for exercise. Also the restrooms are by far the cleanest” outdoor ” restrooms ive ever seen. Thanks for that!! And there are pavilions to sit at that are also rentable ! Cute book donation box as well 🙂
