Rock Garden

A work of love by a local resident, this Rock garden is worth the walk. Highly recommend stopping at this spot that was put together by a man that loves nature and the area.
I actually spoke with the man who created and built the rock garden and seating area. You can catch him and several friends on a spring day playing instruments and old folks tunes. Beautiful area and I can’t appreciate his work enough.
Plenty of various trails in Allsopp Park to hike about. Numerous combinations for short and long hikes or runs. Park is situated in two (2) valleys so it’s on the hills and in the woods. Overall easy trails but some steeper short climbs.
There is something very peaceful about this place! It’s a beautiful hike that’s easy and doesn’t take too long to get there. Visit after a rain if you can.
