The golf course was in good condition. The greens were very very fast. I just wish they had a marshall who would patrol around and speed people up who were playing two or three balls each person. It was kind of tragic and ridiculous.
Muni golf course w mediocre grounds but SPECTACULAR greens! Really well maintained and consistent. Easily rins 14-15 on stimp-meter during the summer. Haven’t played this fall yet but can’t wait. Great value as well.
I was there for a golf tournament, so I’ll base my review on that. It’s been a while since I’ve been to the rest of the park, but based on my memory, I’d give it a 4 as well. It’s pretty well maintained and the views of the river and the cliffs across it are beautiful. You’d never know it’s right in the middle of town when you see all the views.
The golf course was nice, but there were parts of the path blocked off, and a lot of bare dirt areas that were muddy because it was raining when I was there. That said, overall, it was a really nice course and enjoyable to play. There aren’t any markers on the course of how many yards you are from the hole. They have plates on the cart path with the distances, but they’re not readily visible. They used to have carts with screens and gps to help keep you off the restricted parts of the course and tell you how many yards, but they didn’t this time. So that was a real challenge.
Overall, it’s a nice course and I recommend it, but it’s not the nicest I’ve seen and doesn’t have all the features I expect.
I think it’s a golf course. Very clean with awesome staff!
Great place to come and watch The River, fishing, boating, 2 fishing docks events, walking trails,
Large.
Parking lots, play ground for the kids. It’s just an awesome place.
