Maumelle Park is an inviting outdoor destination and a standout option for those seeking a dog park in Little Rock, Arkansas. Nestled along the scenic Arkansas River, the park boasts shaded, spacious grounds with extensive amenities that make it ideal for dog owners, campers, and families alike. While it is not a dedicated off-leash dog park, the park is dog-friendly and welcomes leashed pets throughout its serene, tree-filled campground and pet-friendly trails.
This park features wheelchair-accessible entrances and parking, picnic tables, barbecue grills, running water, and public restrooms and showers. There are plenty of opportunities for RV and tent camping, plus easy access to nature trails and peaceful river views. The tranquil setting, cleanliness, and beautiful natural surroundings make Maumelle Park a relaxing retreat for locals and visitors with their dogs in tow.
Would be a great place to camp or enjoying the lake, fishing etc.
Not so great for walking trails.
Site B31 stayed relatively dry even with all the rain we got this weekend. Some of the B sites on the river were under water. There is a water fountain with a small roof on the camp side, so no campers close on that side. Pinnacle Mountain is 2 miles away and has excellent mountain bike trails MTB.
Maumelle state park campground is a beautiful place to stay. Even if you live in Little Rock. Right on the water and tons of trees. Great place to go for the day. We have camped here many times now and it’s just so quiet and peaceful. Will keep coming back again and again. Rates are great. Electric and water only with several bathhouses and dump stations throughout park.
Maumelle Park is a peaceful and well-maintained campground that offers a perfect escape into nature. The sites are spacious, shaded, and equipped with picnic tables and fire pits. The entire area is very clean, and the views of the Arkansas River are absolutely beautiful — especially during sunset! It’s a wonderful spot for both RV camping and day picnics. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone who enjoys the outdoors. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Beautiful, open RV Park with huge trees and walking trails. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Park was quiet and peaceful for my entire stay… enjoyed my time here and will be sure to return when I am in the vicinity.
