Morris Canal Park offers a blend of nature and local history, making it a unique escape for residents and dog owners in Little Falls Township, New Jersey. While the park has suffered some weather-related damage, visitors continually note its beautiful views, walking trails, and relaxing picnic spots. This space is popular for short hikes, fishing, and scenic overlooks of Little Falls and the historic canal crossing. Pet owners often enjoy the park’s open spaces and trails, making it a well-loved destination for dog-friendly hikes and outdoor adventures.
The park features grassy areas, walking trails, and plenty of room for children and pets to explore. Amenities like free parking, picnic tables, and a little free library create a welcoming community vibe. I love nature. The Park is beautiful, but sadly no one seems to take care of it. I think it really needs some maintenance. Still, I enjoyed being there. There’s also a box with books—if you’re into reading, you can take whatever you like, and if you have books you no longer need, you can leave them there for others.

Very dilapidated. 2 stars only because it has potential to be 5 stars, but the city completely neglects this park. It gets a lot worse than the pictures I took.
