The Walking Trail in Lisbon Falls, Maine, is a scenic and pet-friendly route running alongside the beautiful Androscoggin River. This popular paved trail is dog-friendly, offering smooth, wheelchair-accessible paths that are perfect for families, pet owners, cyclists, and anyone yearning for a peaceful stroll in nature. The trail features multiple benches, river views, shaded woodland sections, and easy access to the water for dogs that love to splash. Local highlights such as sunset views and a nearby ice cream shop make it a community favorite.
Visitors enjoy that the trail is free to use, open year-round, and well-maintained, providing a safe and idyllic environment for walking dogs. Dogs are welcome on-leash, and there are numerous routes off the main path for added adventure. However, parking is limited, so plan ahead—especially on weekends. Don’t miss the family-friendly atmosphere, port-a-potties, and picnic tables for a relaxing outing with your pup and loved ones.
I like walking the Lisbon Walking Trail, they need to put more trash cans along the trail to depose the dogs poop bags!

This walking trail is great for anyone who wants to get out but has Littles with them. This trail is stroller, bike, and wheelchair friendly. As long as you stay on the trail. Off the trail, there is a spot great for getting wet on those hot summer days. Seen lots of people fishing off the trail also. Although I personally have not my self. I almost forgot Big Dipper ice shop is off the trail too! We have gotten ice cream and walked the trail along the river as a family, and it is some of my favorite moments ❤️

Perfect walking trail. Smoothly paved the entire route. Many different places to park and start. Scenic and away from the road which is really nice for it being an in town trail.

The walking trail quickly became one of my favorite places to go when it opened a few years ago. It goes along the edge of the Androscoggin river, so there are some breathtaking views, especially at sunset (my favorite time!) The trail itself is taken care of really well. It also doesn’t cross any roads,so there’s no worries of cars or having to cross. There are lots of little spots to dip off the trail to explore. I think the only complaint a lot of people have is parking. I live close so I just walk, but there is very limited parking spots for those who are not in walking distance. But it is very worth it to come check out the trails🌲🌳🌲
